Yoga

I trained with Annemiek Latour in Raja Yoga, the ‘royal path’ aimed at uniting body and mind, ultimately leading to liberation. The path of Raja Yoga begins with external practices: five steps focusing on behavior (yamas and niyamas), physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), and withdrawal of the senses (pratyahara). These prepare the way for the internal path: concentration (dharana), meditation (dhyana), and ultimately samadhi - the state of unity and enlightenment.

In the Western world, Raja Yoga is often called Hatha Yoga, combining the Sanskrit words ha (sun) and tha (moon). The sun represents action, the moon inward reflection. Hatha Yoga consists of physical postures (asanas) held for extended periods. As well as conscious breathwork (pranayama).

I also teach Yin Yoga: a meditative and gentle form of yoga that focuses on stretching and opening connective tissue, joints, and the body’s meridians. Yin Yoga is particularly effective for reducing stress and promoting deep relaxation. It provides space for introspection, helping you connect more deeply with yourself and your emotions.

In my yoga classes, I guide you to strengthen your inner resilience, helping you stand more firmly in yourself. This creates space to discover, embrace, and fully express your authentic self in everyday life.
